Finished work this morning, not back in till Monday night, which means Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights off. Now ordinarily that’s not a big thing but it happens to coincide with stock-take at work and counting between £2-3,000,000 worth of stock.

Meanwhile I’m enjoying a nice breakfast.

Kinja'd!!!

And preparing my equipment for a reclean of a nice green car.

Kinja'd!!!

Yep, the Mk2 Focus RS. Nice.

Life is pretty good right now.

That looks delicious.

I’m not one for mushrooms, but the rest of that breakfast, even the rashers and blood pudding, looks tasty. And the whiskey.

A co-worker bought a Focus identical to that one. It caught fire; you may want to invest in a catch-can.

Also, with that kind of stock take, I’m clearly in the wrong line of work. You hiring? :)

The breakfast, whiskey or the car? Or all three?

It was all bloody good. ;)

All three. But whisky for breakfast would be a bit too much for me.

I love mushrooms but can’t understand how some people will eat them raw, just yakk, urgh.

The Focus is a daily driver for a truck driver. His friend has one that is babied thinking it will become worth more and more while the driver of this one just enjoys it.

I work as a night shift colleague at the U.K. arm of Walmart. The job gets worse and worse each year but some people make it worth it.

I work 10pm to 6am so technically breakfast is my dinner.

I was thinking more Fleet Street/Central London financial when you said £2M of stock, not like, physical equipment stock. D’oh!

My co-worker with the identical green Focus ST is based in Bradford.

Lol. Ye’, £2m in stock of kettles, pork, frozen peas, cigarettes, toothpaste, etc... is certainly different which is why I’m glad I’m not counting the blasted stuff this year. Yay.

The green is the best colour for it I think. I never really looked at it much but as I spent several hours cleaning her and people all admiring her I got to look close up and see what she was all about.

But your doing it while eating dinner. You don’t have to tell people that your dinner is at 9am:)

Are those “some people” customers or fellow workers?

Each to his own but I just about had a grabber looking at your breakfast plate. Do you then eat chip buddies (spelling correct?) for lunch?

Kinja'd!!! AndyG_UK > That's gonna leave a mark!

I think you mean chip butties (which is a colloquial name for a sandwich).

Some people is a few of my colleagues. Customers can go either way. Some can be ball breakers while others are the salt of the earth.

About had a grabber?

‘chip buddies’, I think your meaning chip-butties. I’ve never been partial to them myself but many people like them. White roll/bread, butter, then some nice warm salted chips (fries).

Grabber - grabbing at your chest as you are having a heart attack.

That's rough... How long do you think you'll be able to do it for? I personally couldn't. It would kill me haha.

Rough? Do what for?

I’ve been eating sirloin steaks, onion rings and peppercorn sauce virtually every other day.

I’ve worked nights for 12 years and I’ve still not found a pattern for sleeping, eating, etc...

Tullamore Dew I nice but I prefer Teeling, then Bushmills, Tullamore Dew then Jameson.

Tullamore Dew and Guiness always reminds me of my bachelor party. Or the parts of it I can remember anyways.

We’ve all been there. My favourite is a large can of Guinness and a very large Bushmills at the bottom of a pint glass. One after a bad night shift is great
